Your needs & interests come first

During a free consultation with an EF Educational Counselor, we assess your needs and interests to determine the optimal school and course for you. Once at your EF school, the Efekta™ Fluency Test, our exclusive placement tool, accurately identifies your strengths and weaknesses. These results are then used to design your personal study plan.

The animated Efekta™ classroom

The Efekta™ System equips teachers with a whole library of classroom resources, giving your teacher unlimited tools to make the classroom a lively forum for learning, discovery and discussion. A pronunciation exercise could involve a web conferencing session and a cultural lesson may very well utilize our Efekta™ classroom presentation software. Imagine a lesson that comes alive on the walls of your classroom – drawing you in and inviting you to participate.

We maintain our class sizes at 12-15 students (maximum 17). You’ll be able to communicate more – gaining confidence along the way. More flexible in a small-group environment, your teacher can focus on your needs and interests. For extra help, supplement your studies with online One-to-One Conversation lessons.

Fluency in a language is much more than a score. With our iTracker service you receive a variety of feedback from different sources, such as self-assessment, teacher comments and you iLab tutorials. This way you get a much more complete picture of your language development. Updated in real-time, you can always log into the iLab for a full overview of the progress.

Special interest courses for every taste

Most EF schools offer a long list of special interest courses (SPINs) for you to choose from. Adding a whole new dimension to your course, SPINs allow you to truly make your studies your own. Work on your language fluency at the same time that you build your knowledge in topics that genuinely appeal to you!

Real world experience

Combine an internship in an area of interest with your course. You’ll build up your CV along with gaining insight and expertise into your host country’s professional language and culture.

Guest lecturers bring the world to you

Guest lecturers, drawn from a list of prominent professors, historians, linguists, and businessmen, present each week at our schools. Through the Efekta™ System, lectures can also be web-cast live. For instance, during a business English course in Sydney, you might see an MBA case study led by a Harvard Business School professor in Boston. Or, during a theatre studies special interest class in London, you might listen to a Royal Shakespeare actor describe his approach to drama.
